In Monte Carlo in Monaco earlier this week, a large crowd gathered to gawk, but it wasn't because of a Grand Prix race or a celebrity. A woman driving a Bentley Azure - sticker price $383,000 - crashed into a $95,000 Mercedes Benz.
But if that's not enough, the unidentified driver also hit a Ferrari 430 - priced at $270,000 - a Porsche 911 - $95,000 - and last, but not least, an Aston Martin Rapide - worth $220,000 - in the city square near the posh Place du Casino.
The accident caused such a mash-up that the woman in the Bentley couldn't open her car's doors.
The Daily Mail reports the crash is estimated to cost more than $65,000, with the Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin requiring new front wings and bumpers. The U.K. paper reports the Bentley will need the same repairs, and a new door.

'Extreme Measures' to feature PSA with drivers, VIP trip to Champion's Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NASCAR Automotive Group and its family of automotive partners under the NASCAR Performance brand have launched the 2011 "Extreme Measures" public-service announcement campaign and accompanying sweepstakes, which provides one NASCAR fan with a VIP trip to this year's Champion's Week in Las Vegas.
Entitled "Extreme Measures," the campaign features NASCAR drivers Trevor Bayne, Greg Biffle, James Buescher, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Tony Stewart. It's a humorous take on avoiding extreme measures to get the most out of every mile, giving NASCAR fans and motorists tips on how to get better fuel mileage through proper vehicle maintenance.
From now until Sept. 4, NASCAR fans can enter the "Extreme Measures" sweepstakes by visiting www.nascar.com/auto. One grand-prize winner will receive a trip for two to the 2011 Champion's Week events, including round-trip airfare, a three-night hotel stay, tickets to industry events including the NASCAR Victory Lap and After the Lap, plus an opportunity to meet a NASCAR personality and win tickets to the Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony. Seven secondary winners will receive two tickets to the NASCAR Hall of Fame while seven third-place winners will receive a NASCAR Performance prize pack of automotive accessories.
"Extending the life of your car has never been more important and regular automotive maintenance is one way to ensure you maximize your car's performance and extend fuel mileage," said Todd Armstrong, managing director, NASCAR Automotive Group. "There are few who can better articulate how to get the greatest efficiency from your car than NASCAR drivers."
In addition to the national television spot, this campaign will also be supported with national print, radio, online and social media exposure and deliver 86 million impressions.
Concept for the PSA was done by Austin, Tex.-based Big Blue Sky Advertising and production completed by NASCAR Media Group.
Enter the sweepstakes
The centerpiece is a 30-second television spot featuring these marquee drivers that will launch this weekend and run through Sept. 4 on NASCAR broadcast partners ABC, ESPN and SPEED.
We finally get some time in the all new, 100% electric car the Nissan LEAF. The first widely available electric car is capable of driving about 110 miles on a charge. The electric motor produces 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. The LEAF can be plugged into any conventional home electric outlet to be recharged.
The LEAF handles a lot better than expected and it's acceleration was pretty impressive too. It actually felt quick off the line due to the availability of all 207 lb-ft of torque the second your foot hits the accelerator. Rumors are that the 0-60 MPH time is about 10 or 11 seconds. We didn't have time to do an official test unfortunately but it felt a lot quicker than that to us.
As far as gas mileage goes. The EPA has rated the LEAF at 99 MPG. Wow!!!

Another Ferrari 458 Italia was destroyed this past week. This time in Durban, South Africa.
This one was only a day old and being driven by a 22 year old. (How does a 22 year old afford a brand new Ferrari anyway?)
He only had the Ferrari 458 Italia for one day when "something went wrong with the brakes and steering".
It appears to me that something went wrong with his foot and the gas pedal!
